Team Talk

Outrageous sconces, well-aimed pennying and prodigious amounts of banter are merely par for the course when one crew dates the mighty Regent's Park lads.

Temple Lounge, Cowley

Park End

ReGents: The Hugh's Ladies' Gardening Society never fail to live up to their formidable reputation. Strong pennying game, good grasp of and adherence to our needlessly complicated drinking rules, terrific sconces and excellent deployment of a gigantic bottle of value cider. Commitment to Park End was exemplary, and we were delighted to see a couple of them two days later at our JCR karaoke night. There's no need to beat around the bush with these girls: they're the pick of the crop.

St Hugh's Ladies' Gardening Society: As always, a cracking night. Since our last encounter with ReGents they've said goodbye to some strong members and gained quite a few freshers, but surprisingly have lost none of the great banter which made them so memorable last time.
Sconces were strong, even among the freshers, one of whom sadly had his greatest wish cruelly taken from him if the stories of his encounter with one LadyGardener are to be believed!
The boys also scored points for their gentlemenly behaviour in helping one other LadyGardener who was wounded in action @ Bridge the previous week. 10/10 would recommend.

Arzoo

Bridge

ReGents: This was an absolutely cracking night out. The girls had a huge array of sconces (helpfully stored on a Google doc), which were as good as any we've seen, and they were great company at Arzoo. The reservation time was quite late so we didn't get to go back to the bar before heading on to Bridge, but their commitment to Anuba and then the main event was exemplary - ours was sub-standard, for which apologies - and at least one lady-gardener got to know a ReGent a bit better. Overall, these girls come highly recommended.

St Hugh's Ladies' Gardening Society: The number of penises on show was seemingly too high for some of our more delicate flowers (but also apparently nothing to get disappointed about missing out on). Good sconces, good chat - you lot are a lot more fun than Merton, despite all studying Theology.

Park End

Water Polo Girls : ReGents were a lovely bunch, but with some young and shy members. The excellent stream of scones and the introduction of suicide scones kept us amply entertained throughout the dinner. Unsurprisingly, our favourite bits of the night involved balls – the golf balls, the pingpong ball, the foosball… so, many thanks for the provision of ball entertainment. Slightly disappointing to only have two gents follow us to Park End, with the others promising to catch up later. No idea what happened with them afterwards, as most of the crew were never to be seen again. Overall a fun crewdate, would recommend.

ReGents: From the moment the girls asked us to source golf balls for the crewdate without explaining what we'd be using them for, we had a good feeling about this one. We were right: solid drinking rules, great company, terrific fun when we got back to the bar and outstanding commitment to Park End (apologies that we couldn't match you). Star docked for slow start to sconces but would give four and a half stars if we could. Same time next year?

St Hugh's Netball: Solid crewdate. Really great time had by all. And thanks for inviting us all back to yours ;) ;) ;)

ReGents: Top-notch from the Hugh's girls. Funny, great company and storming sconces. Our poor JCR secretary is still recovering from what must be the filthiest lap dance At Thai has ever seen. Those who went out had a good time, even though we lost track of the girls fairly quickly. Would definitely crewdate these girls again.

Exeter College Netball: ReGents were a right laugh. They were so entertaining that we didn't even notice we hadn't been served any food. That's got to be a sign of a good crewdate right? Despite their good stream of shocking sconces, we've dropped a star on account of their awful selection of boxers (you know who you are...)

ReGents: Some would call a late start to a crewdate inauspicious. We were amply rewarded for our patience. Good drinking rules (including gecko, grenade and shark attack) led to great chat, and some properly niche sconces emerged (we still can’t work out the mechanics of kayak sex, or how a lacrosse match can lead to an almost-orgasm). Top commitment to Park End as well, and at the end of the night, at least one pair of balls was being netted.

Oxford Brookes Women's Athletics: The hangovers speak for themselves. Everyone was suitably smashed, much to do with the many 'Jagerbombs' (you guys know the voice intended) and we may be an ex-polytechnic but at least we can dominate the University of, running up the castle hill - joke must be on them.

ReGents: Despite a lack of sconces on their behalf, the girls brought their best banter nonetheless. Taking quickly to the drinking rules, they pennied an outrageous amount, and bought - and drank - an incredible amount of Jaegerbombs at the mighty Regent's bar. Excellent turnout to Park End afterwards; highly recommended.

Park End

ReGents: Probably one of the most entertaining crewdates we've ever been on, especially when contrasted with the sausagefest going on on the table behind us. Despite being a smaller crewdate than that which we are used to, it meant that we all quickly clicked and got to enjoy the chat as a whole table and not just in isolated groups as sometimes happens. The girls (and the one boy they brought along) all had great chat and incredible pennying skills, even if the rules of Buffalo took a while for them to grasp. 100% attendance and commitment to Park End - see you all on top of the Oxford Castle some time soon?

Oxford Sirens: The ReGents were on top form on our crewdate; full of some of the most outrageous sconces I have ever heard and very strict on all their drinking rules, which ensured that everyone had a good time. The boys proved themselves to be up for anything as the night ended on sharktales outside parkend. I would defnitley recommend a crewdate with ReGents.
